AMERICA IN PROPHECY

Americans continually ask prophecy teachers if the United States is mentioned in the Bible. Once you learn to understand the Bible using the key found in Ecclesiastes 1:9, I believe that you can see the United States is indeed mentioned. Throughout the Old Testament, we learn of a mighty end-time power much like Babylon was in its day. Ancient Babylon is a picture of this great end-time country.
Here is the description given in the Bible of this end-time "Babylon." Much of this description appears in Jeremiah 51 and 52:
This endtime country is wealthy and buys from the nations of the world. It also has a space program and is described as a country that once was close to God, but, corporately, has rejected the Truth to embrace other forms of religion including witchcraft and spirit guides, turning its back on God and His precepts as laid out in the Bible. It is a country that was a great friend to Israel, then slowly turned against her. It is a country in which homosexuality is condoned and rampant and one that makes war on its young (abortion).
From the above description, there is one country today that fits perfectly. The United States of America is the wealthiest country and the only superpower left. We trade extensively all over the globe. We are one of the few countries with a space program.
Since the founding of the nation of Israel in 1948, the U.S. has been a staunch ally. Lately, however, our policies are proving to be detrimental to Israel. In the Tanakh (Old Testament), God gave certain territory to Abraham and his descendants through Isaac and Jacob; i.e., the Jews. Under the Balfour Declaration, Israel was to get much (but not all) of that land, but over the years -to appease its enemies - Israel has been forced to give up "land for peace." The pressure is on once again for Israel to give up more of her land and the U.S. is in favor of this. By so doing, we are, in effect, turning our back on Israel and God. God has clearly stated that He will judge the nations for "dividing up His land" (Joel 3:2). It is clear God is angry that the nations would give away land He has promised to Israel.
The United States of America was founded by Christians devoted to the Word of God. For two centuries, our strength lay in God and the people's faith in Him. Gradually, the people are turning away; accepting new gods or pretending they themselves are gods. Astrology, witchcraft and goddess worship (all condemned by God in His Word) are gaining new adherents every day. A mythical wall of "separation of church and state" has been thrown up and groups like Freedom From Religion are growing in membership. Even many "mainstream" churches are becoming liberal in their theology, backing away from God's commandments in order to "not offend anyone."
Homosexuality is considered an "alternate lifestyle" instead of the abomination that God considers it. In the decades since Roe v Wade, millions of our most innocent and defenseless children have been slaughtered in the name of "convenience."
Isaiah 13:20-21 shows beyond a shadow of a doubt this reference is to an endtime power since the particular prophecy made here has yet to be fulfilled: "It [Babylon] shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall shepherds make their flocks to lie down there. But wild beasts of the desert [Jewish idiom for demons] shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and ostriches [unclean bird, also denoting demons] shall dwell there, and wild goats shall dance there."
The original Babylon remained a city of some importance until the Muslim purge about the 12th century when it declined. But to this day, it has not become an abode for demons (uninhabitable by humans - such as due to nuclear destruction) as Isaiah and others predict will happen to this endtime power.
In the book of Revelation, we are told that this endtime Babylon will be destroyed in one hour by fire and the nations with whom it traded will see the smoke of its burning and be terrified (Rev 18:10-19). The scenario becomes plausible when one considers the effects of an all-out nuclear attack that destroys the United States. This would set the stage for a terrified Europe to give their power to the False Messiah (Antichrist). Our troops stationed abroad will then come under the control of the European Community, perhaps through the auspices of United Nations.
As written in Isaiah 13, the scenario might go something like this:
On that specially appointed Rosh HaShanah, Yeshua [Jesus] will come for His Bride (the "rapture"). Because there will still be a great number of Christians in the USA, even in high places, when they are suddenly taken out, there will be pandemonium and anarchy. A taste of this was seen in the L.A. riots where people, released from the constraints of law, let loose with their most primitive feelings.
Russia will seize the chance to rid herself once and for all of the enemy she perceives to be most in her way. The Bible says the attack will come from the north. If you follow a northern route from the U.S., you will go over the polar ice to Russia. Also, Russia is the only country that has the capability (and desire) to destroy the U.S. While the U.S. has been unilaterally disarming, Russia has been building up her nuclear arms and, despite press reports to the contrary, continues to do so today. Recently, Clinton's people gave the Russians the technology to shoot down all of our planes and sink all of our ships!
Because of her early faithfulness, God endowed this country with every material wealth. But the U.S. has now betrayed our Creator and the penalty will be heavy. The Bible tells us that God's judgment is far worse on those who had the Truth and rejected it than on those who never had the Truth. The destruction of the U.S.A. will be in perfect correlation to the riches with which God blessed this country. The destruction will be swift and deadly.
America has an appointment with destiny. This country has, in effect, declared war on God and this is one war that America is guaranteed to lose. And lose big.
